Developing a tableware collection inspired by the contestado war

Abstract

Design is an area that stands out for its diverse sectors, tools, and working methods, being a field of study responsible not only for adding value to existing products but also for developing new ones. Surface design involves the creation of visual and tactile elements that are applied to different materials. Thus, this project utilized these studies to transpose historical-cultural elements related to the Contestado War into the development of a ceramic tableware collection. The research aimed at developing products focused on Santa Catarina’s culture, reinforcing the importance of this historical event for the state.
