Abstract

The growing technological evolution in the industrial sector makes the importance of using industrial automation systems through communication protocols and network integration increasingly clear in order to obtain a complete industrial plant, with an ever-faster and more dynamic exchange of information. The main objective of this work was the development of an automation project that would integrate various types of industrial communication protocols for the control and supervision of a ceramic line in a fully functional and modern way. Furthermore, due to the end client being located in Colombia, the project enabled and integrated remote access so that the line's startup could be performed by the engineering team at the company's headquarters in Criciúma-SC. Thus, with the application of programming and protocol integration on the devices, it was possible through remote access to perform the line's startup and apply all the logical programming done via PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to make the line fully functional and modern
