This article aims to analyze how sports radio professionals have benefited from technological advancements and increased interactivity in football broadcasts and sports programs. The theoretical framework of the research was based on authors such as Ortriwano (2004), Kischinevsky (2016), Ferraretto (2014), and Jung (2004). This study adopted an exploratory and qualitative approach. The research was not limited to analyzing the content shared by sports radio professionals, who were interviewed for this study, but also included an analysis of a portion of a football broadcast on the radio. This research sought a deeper and more contextualized understanding of interactivity in sports radio. It shows that sports broadcasts are increasingly encouraging listener participation, often by offering the chance to win prizes and giveaways. Furthermore, the pros and cons of instant interactivity were analyzed to evaluate whether it contributes positively or negatively to the programming. It became clear that radio professionals see interactivity as a much more positive than negative influence, although they also recognize the need to carefully filter audience participation. It is an undeniable fact that audiences are becoming increasingly participatory and connected.
