The main objective of this article is to conduct a comparative study between manual welding and automated welding in the dissimilar steel welding process. We will discuss the manual welding process and automated welding, their advantages and disadvantages. Hardness tests and metallographic analyses were carried out to understand the microstructural and mechanical changes in the welded joints. The results indicated that automated welding provided greater consistency and control in the heat-affected zone, while manual welding showed greater variability in mechanical properties. Both techniques, however, proved effective, demonstrating the feasibility of integrating these materials with distinct properties for industrial applications where reliability and performance are essential.
