This work focuses on Total Productive Maintenance, TPM, and its implementation in a robotic cell. Currently, maintenance management has become a strategic pillar for companies, as proper maintenance has generated a competitive advantage, where the application of tools like TPM gains prominence in this process. The scarcity of academic works in the field of TPM with an emphasis on predictive maintenance in the current literature was one of the reasons that led the author to write this work. Maintenance can be performed in several ways; what guides the form of maintenance is the equipment's criticality to the process, the cost of spare parts, and the equipment's level of complexity. In this case, it involves a robotic cell that presents a high failure rate in its system. Currently, a robotic cell in the metalworking industry has an availability index below the target for its welding, fixture, and handling systems, in addition to a high rate of corrective maintenance actions and expenses with spare parts. After the application of TPM methods, an increase in the productivity of the robotic station and a decrease in equipment downtime and failures were achieved.
